Sweet Sue in Nashville, Part I

Our very own Sweet Sue is on the road taking some vacation time to enjoy a music conference in Nashville. She spent a bit of time checking out the coffee culture. Here’s her quick post from the road…

The coffee culture is in full bloom in Nashville since I was last here about 10 years ago. I am checking out Crema this morning before I head out to register for the Americana Music Association Conference. This will be a trip to revisit my past when I worked in the indie music industry with aspiring Americana artists. It will also be an exploration into the new, checking out some of the coffee hotspots I have been hearing about in the expanding Nashville coffee scene.

At Crema, Courtney makes me a shot of a luscious, full bodied espresso blend they have named Corazon blend. It is a blend of 60% El Salvador and 40% Rwanda. Lovely caramel sweetness.

I am intrigued by the El Salvador Las Delicias Bourbon in the blend and also have a pourover cup. They brew with a Kolita. Notes of soft orange and grapefruit are combined with a hint of cocoa nibs. Very clean finish. A nice taste to depart with….
