Our Santa Izabel Reserve is our ultra-premium coffee, named a 2020 Cup of Excellence® award recipient – the most prestigious competition for high-quality coffees from around the world. This 2020 Cup of Excellence® Winner was ranked #1 in Aroma and is from our family-run farms in the Sul de Minas region of Brazil.
For this micro-lot, the Obata cherries (score of 88.15 and have a screen of 18/19 size) were harvested by hand to ensure the maximum possible amount of ripe cherries. The beans underwent anaerobic fermentation and then processed in the dry method until reaching the ideal humidity. After resting in the granary, this coffee was processed and rigorously monitored by the post-harvest team until it reached our historic roaster in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

The Fazenda Santa Izabel has always been recognized for the high quality of coffees. It has won both national and international prizes in competitions. When Nobletree Coffee Farms was acquired in 2013 by FAL Café, we began transforming it into a sustainable, world class coffee bean producer and sustainable leader in the region.
In 2017, the farms went through revitalization for stability and quality. Now, those cultivated crops deliver award-winning cherries. Santa Izabel Farm continues to embrace good social environmental practices for our farm families and provides courses and workshops for small producers in the regions.
